It was reccomended to me by a friend to try tylenol pm for insomnia because lately its been a problem for me esp. when I sleep at my boyfriends (Im so used to being in my own bed). I bought some and I have yet to try it. Has anyone found this to be a good sleep aid?

I also saw Advil Pm and I was tempted to buy that but Im not certain if its gluten-free. Has anyone tryed that one?

I often see those homeopathic sleep aids but Ive never had any luck with herbal sleep aids so Im reluctant to try it. the most popular one that I see is Calms forte.

If this doesnt work Im going to get a presciption.

Does anyone have any success stories?

Hi-
Tylenol PM has the same ingredient as Benadryl (diphenhydramine), plus the Tylenol. I find that Benadryl always helps me when I am having trouble sleeping. Also, for an herbal sleep aid, I know that Valerian works really well, or Kava. I've never had much luck with homeopathics but I've seen the one that you mentioned.

I used to take a lot of Tylenol PM, and maybe it used to work for me, but I don't like it at all anymore. I find it really hard to fall asleep on - it makes me very groggy but not tired enough to sleep. And then the next morning I have a TERRIBLE sleepy hangover and it takes me forever to get going.

I go through cycles where I either sleep like a rock, or don't sleep at all. When I am having trouble sleeping, I like Ambien.
I also started using Melatonin every now and then, but I haven't used it enough to tell if it's really helping.

EDIT: Oddly enough, Benadryl totally knocks me out when I do take it. Hmm..
