Did anyone to the Regina Chapter meeting where there was a cooking demo with the gluten free oats? I was out of town so I was unable to attend but really wanted to. I would love to hear about it! Is there somewhere that we can get the oats from in Regina? I am excited to try them!

Hi Courtney,

If you haven't found the answer to your question yet -- you can get the gluten-free oats at Old Fashion Foods.

Prairie,

FarmPure markets gluten-free oats under the trade name "Only Oats". You can get them at Old Fashioned Foods. I've had the choc. cookies, and they are FANTASTIC!! I did not react or anything.

Their claim to fame is that these oats are gluten-free from planting to processing. Their main consultants for FarmPure are Shelly Case (should sound familiar no? tongue.gif ) and the head chef from Zest.

Let us know what you think if you try them. I am a HUGE fan.

Hi KarenDianne,

I'm not sure if they ship to the U.S. but you could try this website. There is a contact # and address:

KarenDianne, I buy McCann's Oats at Wild Oats. I'm sure it's probably available at Whole Foods as well.

You can buy them in Saskatoon too, its where I discovered it, at Dad's Nutrition. So far i've eaten the muffins and cookies, both very yummy, but dry, so make sure you drink lots of water or whatever after eating them. But they are easy recipes. And not too horribly pricy.

Hi Karen

You can also get gluten-free (US) or pure uncontaminated oats (Canada) from Cream Hill Estates in Montreal. www.creamhillestates.ca

In Nova Scotia we have Cream Hill Estates Gluten Free Oats available at health food stores. They are delicious and make for a great granola or museli. Expensive but worth it. http://www.creamhillestates.com/
