One of my concerns other than feeling better, was the weight I was losing from malnutrition. All my friends thought I had an eating disorder, going from 130 to 102lbs. My dietician said the best thing I can do is drink juice all day long. I really enjoy "white cran strawberry" and I have a sensitive stomach. Apple and grape are good, but I don't like grapes too much.
Drink the juice if you need to maintain or gain weight!

I just had surgery and my doctor has me on Ensure to help with nutrition and to help me maintain weight and not lose anymore. They are gluten free and don't taste too bad. I really like the butter pecan. Good luck.

I went down to 84 lbs six months ago (I’m usually around 95 lbs which is underweight for me, but that’s where I plateau). It’s a daily struggle to keep the pounds on because at 84 lbs a person isn’t looking (or feeling) too great.
It’s probably different for each person in what they can tolerate – for instance, I’d never be able to drink the juice all day long because it would be too much sugar for me. I’m trying to eat more protein. I find if I cut back on the breads/baked goods, the pounds really fall off, so I try to eat a moderate balance of it. I can’t eat too much of that, either, because the candida (self-diagnosed, mind you) gets out of control. I’ve also tried to increase my good fats – I’m taking cod liver oil right off the spoon (gack!); and am eating coconut oil. I tried flax oil, but I seem to have a reaction to it – burning mouth.
