im 31 weeks along in my pregnancy and had to treat my daughters kitten for fleas.
does anyone know if advantage is gluten-free?
and is it safe to be around in pregnancy?
i didnt think of any of this until my husband treated the kitty earlier tonight.... but would very much like to know if picking kitty up tomorrow will leave harmful residue on my hands!

Once the product is dry - then the cat will be safe to handle for both children and pregnant women. Hope hubby is changing the litter box for you while pregnant!
The products that are unsafe - flea collars! hate them. very toxic to young children and pregnant women...or "flea dips"...do not spray insecticides in the house. If fleas are noticed. Wash bedding in hot water, and laundry soap.
Once Advantage is absorbed - it no longer poses a risk for children or other pets. You have to keep pets separated after treatment for 2 hours to avoid one pet grooming another and ingesting the product orally.
This is the warning for people treating cats with advantage:
HUMAN WARNINGS:
Not for human use. Keep out of the reach of children.
Children should not come in contact with the application site for 30 minutes after application.
Causes eye irritation. Harmful if swallowed. Do not get in eyes or on clothing. Avoid contact with skin. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water after handling.
