I was diagnosed as Gluten intolerant about 6 months ago, and I'm not sure if i have DH or not. Before the diagnosis I got a weird rash on my arms and legs that are clusters of really small red bumps, but they weren't really itchy. They kind of go away when I'm really strict about my gluten-free diet, but when I get gluten into my system they flare up kind of like hives do. Sometimes it's itchy. I dont think its DH because they're not blisters or constantly itchy. Could they be hives or something completely different even?

most people with celiac do not have dh, so yes, it's very possible. your rash may or may not be dh (it's not all the same), and you're unlikely to know without a biopsy of it, but either way, celiac/dh is treated the same (as it is the same) - gluten free diet.

Ok thanks. I'm on the gluten-free diet anyway so it doesnt really make a difference whether it's celiac or not!
