Why Am I Getting Hives?

I've now gotten itchy hives 2 nights in a row. Last night my husband made salmon patties using my gluten free bread for the crumbs. He did use regular crumbs for his. I'm wondering if CC could cause this. Could I be allergic to salmon now? Tonight we had a roast, I made the potatoes and gravy in my own pans and used brown rice flour to make the gravy. It's been a long time since I've had hives. I do know once I get out of whack, I do seem more sensitive to anything. I'm also wondering if candida can cause hives? I'm just trying to figure it out, so I can avoid the culprit.

Absolutely yes....candida can cause hives. I know that first hand. I think that when I was at my sickest, the candida really took over. Now here I am 10 months later still battling that nasty bugger...its putting up a good fight, but i insist that I will win dry.gif

My best guess is that the salmon had iodine in it, which triggered possible DH. As you know, salmon can be caught in the sea and in fresh water, so sometimes you can have no reaction while, at others, you can break out.

I agree about the iodine. I had to give up iodized salt, as well as ibuprofen, because I break out with DH everytime! What I don't know is if there is a tolerance level.....if some iodine is ok up to a certain point....or if any exposure at all is a trigger. Any thoughts on that?
