I've always had some degree of DH, but it used to just be an annoying side note to my other symptoms. It seems like it is getting worse the older I am though. In the last two months I've had two DH outbreaks that were sever by my standards, without any of my other classic symptoms (at least not any that were really bad)

Just like with celiac, I imagine it all depends on the person. Mine didn't get worse and i don't have a outbreaks if I make a mistake or get CCed. My father's actually disappeared completely before he went gluten-free.
