Can someone tell me if using rice milk to bake/cook with works ok? Rice milk to me is closer in taste to cows milk, but last night I made a pie and used reg milk because I wasn't sure if the rice milk would work out.
Thanks!

I don't do soy or dairy, so all I use to cook with is rice milk. I usually use just a bit less of the rice milk than the recipe calls for because it's very thin. But, I've made pies, cakes, muffins, etc. with it and never had a flop.

I've been using it too, and everything has come out just fine. I've made mashed potatoes, bread, biscuits and doughnuts with it and you would never know they were made with rice milk. Some have said that Rice Dream brand has gluten, though. I have a different brand and it says gluten free on the label. Tomorrow I am going to try the Bob Evans sausage gravy recipe someone posted, and hopefully it will be okay with rice milk instead of regular.
