I've been doing lots of reading lately in reference to my DD and her gluten issues. I noticed that some of the advertised products on this site state that they conform to Codex standards. It is my understanding that Codex standards allow a very small percentage of gluten (.002% ppm - is that right?). Would that be equivalent to CC? I am a little confused by foods labeled as gluten-free not really being gluten-free.... It doesn't seem right to me to say something is "free" of an ingredient if it really isn't. Makes me want to stay away from processed stuff all together.

Since we are just starting out, I am only using foods that do not contain gluten at all. She is 15 months old and perfectly content to eat veggies, fruits and breastmilk all day long. This is really for the future - dining out, food prep at home, etc.

Thanks for the help!

I would not give a young baby like that any processed foods. I really think grain free is the best, but realize there are exceptions - like an occasional treat. I would make any treats my self using ingredients that I was sure were not CC.
