I have this list printed out and take it shopping with me. Someone just posted it over at delphi and reminded me that I may not have posted it here for the newbies. You will be amazed at how much stuff we can have!!!!

Remember though, this is Kraft Canada, I can't guarantee that Kraft in the U.S. is the same.......

Happy Shopping!!!!

Here is the link.....

(I thought that even though Kraft lists whether there is any gluten, for the celiacs new to this diet, reading the ingredients can still be very confusing. I can remember how I felt when I started reading all the ingredients and couldn't even pronounce half of them and thinking "How the heck do I know if this is gluten or not?????)

Thanks for posting this Karen. I had the list years ago, but mis-placed it. Probably time for an up-date anyway biggrin.gif

Karen,
Thanks for the list, even though I am not in Canada it gave me some ideas of similar products to check out in the US. I have been so thrilled with Kraft and their products since I discovered their labeling policy.

Karen this is such a great list...

I use the Shake' n Bake barbeque chicken claze and and Spicy BBQ chicken wings glaze on my chicken a lot. MMMMMMMMMMM. I also eat the gluten-free salad dressings and the Jell-O. The gel snacks rock YUM! tongue.gif

PLEASE ENSURE THAT YOU READ THE INGREDIENTS on the gluten free items... bought Shake n Bake product based on the list and discovered it was not gluten-free according to the ingredients... I called Kraft who confirmed they had made a mistake... they refunded me (big deal), and send me a relatively useless cooking magazine regularly.

Thanks for mentioning that Bruce. I use that list quite often and I guess I was starting to feel "too safe" with it. It always is a good reminder that we still need to read EVERYTHING!!

Hope you didn't suffer any ill effects....

Karen, do you have another link to this site? Or do you still have that list? I was wondering if the pudding mixes were lactose free before adding milk.

carrie,
the regular ones are. the fat free ones are not.

This is why I don't consider any mainstream items at any time to be "gluten free". I never do my shopping with a list and always read every label every time I buy the product and carry my cell phone with me to make the call every time I am not confident of what I see listed there. Of course, I am ultra sensitive as well so I have to be over-the-top diligent. Well, I guess I should say "used to" to as the whole family has gone gluten-free, dairy free and no more prepackaged processed foods period.

No matter what your lists say, remember to read your labels each and every time.

I know this thread was started awhile ago, but they must have had too many complaints so they removed the list. If you read their allergy section about gluten, it says they're not planning on rewriting another list. Too bad because it would be a good starting point....

Please bear in mind that this thread was started in 2005. A good many things have changed. Ingredients change during the course of time, so please read the labels.

There is Kraft Canadian and Kraft US. They are not always the same. So please contact your 1-800 # on your product.
